Holiday Moon, January, Chinese Collection

I lived in Seoul South Korea for a year and one of my favorite things was visiting the old town during the holidays (especially during the Chinese New Year) and seeing colorful lanterns hung all around, what magical beauty! I understand fully that Korea is not China, and that their cultures are wildly diverse, but after some googling I saw that these colorful lanterns can be found in Chinese celebrations as well.

This print is the fourteenth in my moon manual project, I have committed to paint 62 full moons representing five different cultures.
